Let's be honest, it's hard to eat balanced, nutritious meals - and it's often even harder to make healthy snack choices. Making the healthy choice is hard, but you are worth it!
Here are some of our favorite snacks that are healthy and easy:
Bananas and apples with your favorite nut/seed butter
Greek yogurt with granola (Pictured above! Trust us, you'll want to try that granola recipe.)
SkinnyPop Popcorn's unbuttered popcorn
Dried fruits and nuts
Hardboiled eggs
Celery and carrots with hummus
Bonus recipe: Roasted Chickpeas
Preheat oven to 400 degrees C
Rinse and pat dry a can of chickpeas
Toss in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes
Place on a sheet pan and cook for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through
Pro tip: throw leftovers on your salad for an awesome crunch!
Some things to keep in mind:
Out of sight, out of mind: Keep your unhealthy snacks at the back of your cabinet and put fresh fruit on the kitchen table.
Try incorporating some protein in your snacks so they will keep you full for longer.
Sometimes when you feel hungry, you are actually just thirsty. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water!
